Another successful kidney transplant has been performed today at GB Hospital. This brings the total number of kidney transplants at the hospital to three. A team of doctors from Srijah Hospital in Manipur and specialists from the Urology and Nephrology department at Agartala GB Hospital worked together to successfully complete the transplant today. Both the kidney donor and recipient are in good health. They are both residents of Radhanagar in Agartala.
Deputy Superintendent Doctor Kanak Choudhury of Jeevani Hospital informed the media that both the previous kidney donor and recipient are still in good health. It is worth mentioning that the first kidney transplant at Jeevani Hospital started on June 8, 2024. The second one took place in November of the same year.
