The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee has launched two new initiatives to strengthen the party organization and raise awareness about Constitutional values. The ‘Save Constitution Abhiyan’ and ‘Ghar Ghar Abhiyan’ were announced by Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha on April 22.
Saha chaired a meeting with all the wings of the Pradesh Congress to discuss the party’s upcoming programs. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness about Constitutional values and strengthening the party organization at the block to district level.
Accompanied by former Minister and Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Saha highlighted the decisions and steps taken during the All India Congress’s national convention in Gujarat. The party has undertaken a 1.15-month program outlined by the All India Congress Committee, with plans to hold the Ghar Ghar Abhiyan to further strengthen the organization.
The Save Constitution Abhiyan aims to demand a caste-based census across the country, with the All India Congress protesting for its implementation. Saha also criticized the recently passed Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025, stating that the party is protesting against it to protect the rights of the Muslim community.
The initiatives were launched to not only strengthen the party organization but also to raise awareness about Constitutional values and protect the rights of marginalized communities. The Pradesh Congress Committee is focused on implementing these initiatives to mobilize support and drive positive change in the region.
