The Tripura Veterinary Doctors Association (TVDA) in collaboration with various government officials and experts organized the “World Veterinary Day, 2025” celebration at the Dasharath Deb Memorial Hall on April 26, 2025. The inaugural event saw the presence of the Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Department Secretary Dr. K. Shashikumar, IFAS special guest Dr. Bimal Krishna Das, ARDD Director, Tripura Government and Dr. Priyobrat Nath, President of TVDA, Dr. Sujit Sah, Vice President of TVDA, and Dr. Chintu Debbarma among others.
The event aimed to highlight the importance of veterinary care and the role of veterinarians in safeguarding animal health and welfare. Discussions were held on various topics such as disease prevention, animal nutrition, and the importance of vaccination in animal healthcare. The importance of promoting ethical practices in animal husbandry and the need for continuous education and training for veterinarians were also emphasized.
