The morning was marked by solemn tributes to the architects of Indian independence and the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s sovereignty.

Moving forward with the ceremonial itinerary, the Minister reached the Martyrs’ Memorial at Albert Ekka Park, Lichu Bagan, at 7:00 AM. In a dignified ceremony, Shri Nath laid a wreath in honor of Lance Naik Albert Ekka (PVC) and all the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
“Our freedom is secured by the blood of our soldiers. As we celebrate 77 years of being a Republic, we stand in debt to the valor of the Albert Ekka Brigade and all our security forces,” the Minister remarked during the wreath-laying ceremony.
