Pradyot Kishore, the leader of the ‘Tipra Motha’ party, has issued a warning to the state government regarding the ‘Tiprasa Accord’ issue. In a post on Facebook, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in implementing the accord, which was signed with the Union Home Ministry.
Kishore stated that his party’s precondition for joining the BJP-led government was a written commitment to swiftly and smoothly implement the accord. He emphasized that if this commitment is not being upheld, then his party has no right to remain in power. Kishore also informed ministers and MLAs of his party about his decision to potentially withdraw support from the government.
The ‘Tipra Motha’ leader also announced the launch of a helpline to monitor and report infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals into the state. This helpline will allow citizens to coordinate with party leaders, workers, and administration officials to address the issue. Kishore stressed the importance of protecting the state’s land and properties from infiltration.
While Kishore has taken a firm stance on these issues, the ruling BJP has not yet officially responded to his hint at withdrawing support from the government. This development signals a potential shift in dynamics within the coalition government, as Kishore continues to advocate for the interests of his party and the people who voted for him.
