In a move aimed at boosting farmers’ income and promoting agricultural development, beneficiaries registered under the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) in Tripura are set to receive a total of Rs 45 crore 43 lakh 74 thousand on August 2nd.
The announcement was made by Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, who praised the hard work and determination of farmers in Tripura for their progress in agriculture. He highlighted the joint efforts of the state and central governments to ensure the financial security of farmers and support agricultural growth.
Minister Nath revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally transfer the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries on August 2nd at 11 AM from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He added that a main event will be held at the State Agriculture Research Station in AD Nagar, where he will be present to listen to the Prime Minister’s address.
A total of Rs 45 crore 43 lakh 74 thousand will be disbursed to farmers registered under the scheme in Tripura on that day. Additionally, PM Modi will interact directly with farmers during the event. Minister Nath urged all farmers to participate and listen to the Prime Minister’s address at 11 AM in their respective villages and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
He reassured farmers that the government stands firmly with them and will continue to support them in the future. The upcoming installment of PM-KISAN is expected to provide much-needed financial assistance to farmers in Tripura, further strengthening the agricultural sector in the state.
