Drug tablets worth crores of taka seized in Jatrabari!
A significant amount of narcotics tablets were seized in a joint operation by the Jatrabari Police and the Shalpukur BOP’s BGB in the early hours of the morning in the Bhashpukur area within the Jatrabari Police Station. Nearly 14,000 tablets were recovered, with an estimated market value of over a crore taka.
The operation was led by the recently appointed OC of Jatrabari Police Station, Sitikanth Bardhan, along with officials from the BGB camp. The tablets were found in a suspicious vehicle with no valid number plate. Additionally, a vehicle used for robbery activities was also confiscated during the operation.
The successful operation has been praised by the conscious citizens, with OC Sitikanth Bardhan considering it a significant achievement in his tenure at Jatrabari Police Station. Police and BGB officials are now investigating whether there are any larger networks involved due to the lack of valid documents or numbers on the seized vehicle.
Authorities have stated that similar operations will continue in the future to create a drug-free society and ensure law and order.
