Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has allocated a significant amount of over Rs 87 crore for a range of infrastructure projects aimed at improving civic amenities, road connectivity, and public health throughout the state.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), projects totaling Rs 32.33 crore have been approved for the construction of RCC cover drains and roads in various wards of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC).
Additionally, maintenance works for 27 Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) roads in 12 sub-divisions have been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 55.16 crore. These maintenance works will cover a total length of 129.5 kilometres under the state Public Works Department (PWD).
The CMO release stated that these initiatives demonstrate the government’s dedication to improving living standards and ensuring efficient governance in Tripura.
The sub-divisions of Sonamura, Bishalgarh, Teliamura, Mohanpur, Udaipur, Amarpur, Sabroom, Belonia, Ambassa, Kamalpur, Kanchanpur, and Kailashahar are set to benefit from these maintenance works ahead of the Durga Puja festival.
In addition, Chief Minister Saha recently convened a meeting with senior officials to discuss various issues related to development activities and administrative programs.
Taking to Facebook, the chief minister stated, “Joined a meeting to review the progress of development activities and administrative programs attended by senior officials. An intense discussion took place on various important issues, and officials were asked to complete tasks within the scheduled time.”
The allocation of funds for infrastructure projects and the focus on timely completion of tasks demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving the overall development and well-being of the people of Tripura.
