Tarnesha Das, a student from Salema in Tripura’s Dhalai district, has made headlines by earning a place in the International Book of Records for her extraordinary skill and determination. Hailing from Kakurchhara Sarkar Para in Salema, Tarnesha achieved the record by inscribing the name of Lord Ram 36 times on a single jackfruit seed measuring just 2 centimetres in length, all within a remarkable two minutes.
Officials from the International Book of Records verified Tarnesha’s skills through an online video call and presented her with an official certificate and medal in recognition of her incredible achievement. The daughter of Piyush Kanti Das, she expressed her joy and pride in representing Salema, the Kamalpur subdivision, the Dhalai district, and the state of Tripura on an international platform.
This is not the first time Tarnesha has made waves with her talents. In 2023, she entered the India Book of Records by mapping 21 countries on 21 lentil grains. Tarnesha attributed her success to the unwavering support of her family, the guidance of her art teacher Rajib Rudra Pal, and the encouragement of her friends.
Furthermore, Tarnesha used her achievement to emphasize the importance of mobile phones for educational purposes, urging young people to prioritize learning over excessive social media use. She believes that her recognition is a matter of pride for Tripura and hopes that her journey serves as inspiration for others to realize that extraordinary accomplishments can come from even the smallest of places.
