Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha made bold claims about the political landscape in the state, stating that the CPI(M) is losing ground while the BJP is strengthening its position as a government focused on the people. Speaking at a mega blood donation camp organized by the BJP Tripura Pradesh OBC Morcha to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Dr. Saha commended the volunteers for their service and highlighted the spirit of “Sewa hi Sangathan” promoted by the party.
Pointing to Tripura’s development, Dr. Saha noted the state’s rise to second place in the Northeast in terms of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and improvements in per capita income. He emphasized the government’s dedication to infrastructure development and increased state budgets to ensure inclusive growth, particularly for the OBC community.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Dr. Saha lauded his transformative initiatives such as GST and Operation Sindoor. He criticized the opposition for failing to acknowledge these contributions and instead spreading misinformation.
Addressing concerns about road damages due to heavy rains, Dr. Saha assured that repair work was underway and criticized the opposition for focusing solely on negative aspects on social media. He highlighted the government’s efforts in women’s empowerment through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to promote self-reliance.
In conclusion, Dr. Saha emphasized the transparency, accountability, and people-centric approach of the BJP government, contrasting it with the CPI(M)’s negative approach. He asserted that the CPI(M) is fading from Tripura’s political landscape while the BJP will continue to serve as a government of the people.
