Agartala, Nov. 22:
A press conference was organized today at the Agartala Press Club by the TRLM Employees Association, Tripura Pradesh, highlighting various demands and concerns of employees working under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM).
Leaders of the association addressed the media, drawing attention to issues such as job security, regularization of contractual staff, fair remuneration, and implementation of employee welfare policies. They emphasized that despite contributing significantly to rural development and women’s empowerment through TRLM initiatives, many employees still face uncertainty due to contractual employment terms.
Speaking at the event, association representatives urged the state government to take necessary steps to protect employees’ rights and strengthen TRLM’s administrative framework. They also appealed for proper recognition of their work in implementing schemes aimed at livelihood enhancement and skill development across rural Tripura.
The press meet also highlighted concerns regarding workload pressure, lack of proper facilities, and absence of promotional opportunities. The association vowed to continue peaceful advocacy until satisfactory action is taken by the authorities.
Media persons present raised questions on policy gaps and the government’s roadmap for employee welfare and administrative reforms in TRLM.
The event concluded with a call for constructive dialogue between the government and the employees’ association to ensure stability and efficiency in mission operations.
