Agartala, Tripura: Condemning the brutal communal attack on rickshaw worker Didar Hossain, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) organised a protest rally under the initiative of its West Tripura District Committee.
As part of the protest, a delegation of CPI(M) leaders and supporters marched to the Agartala West Police Station, where they met the officer-in-charge and formally demanded the immediate arrest of all those involved in the attack and exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.
Addressing the media, CPI(M) leaders described the assault on Didar Hossain as a grave communal crime and warned that such incidents threaten social harmony and public safety. They urged the police administration to act swiftly and decisively to ensure justice and prevent the recurrence of similar attacks.
The party stated that it would continue to monitor the case closely and intensify its movement if strict legal action is not taken. The protest concluded peacefully with slogans demanding justice, communal harmony, and the rule of law
