Kaurabs Club marked its 69th Foundation Day on Saturday by organising a range of social welfare programmes at its club premises, highlighting its continued commitment to community service.The celebrations began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, formally inaugurating the programme. The inauguration was attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta, Corporators Shampa Sarkar Chowdhury, Abhijit Mallik and Alok Roy, eminent social worker Asim Bhattacharjee, along with Club Secretary Rajesh Dey and other club members.As part of the foundation day observance, the club organised a blood donation camp, which saw active participation from donors. In addition, clothes were distributed among underprivileged residents of the locality as a gesture of support and social responsibility.Addressing the media, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta praised the Kaurabs Club for its consistent efforts in organising socially beneficial programmes. She also encouraged the club authorities to continue initiatives like blood donation in the coming years.Speaking to the media, Club Secretary Rajesh Dey said that Kaurabs Club remains engaged in social activities throughout the year. He added that multiple programmes are organised annually to commemorate the foundation day. This year, besides the mega blood donation camp and clothing distribution, the club has planned a five-day-long series of events to mark the occasion.
