AGARTALA: In a significant move toward enhancing the quality of school education and leadership across the Northeast, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, grace the Regional Review and Planning Workshop of the School Leadership Academy (SLA) tomorrow.
The high-level event, focusing on the North Eastern states, took place on February 9, 2026, at Pragna Bhavan, Hall-1, Agartala, starting at 11:00 AM.
A Vision for Educational Excellence
The workshop aims to bring together educational administrators, school heads, and policy experts from across the eight North Eastern states to review the progress of leadership training modules and plan for future academic interventions.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who has consistently prioritized the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in Tripura, will address the delegates on the importance of “Leadership at the Grassroots.” The state government believes that strengthening school-level leadership is key to reducing dropout rates and improving the overall learning outcomes for students.
Key Highlights of the Workshop:
- Regional Collaboration: Representatives from the School Leadership Academies of all North Eastern states will participate to share “Best Practices” and regional success stories.
- Planning for 2026-27: The workshop will serve as a platform to draft the roadmap for professional development programs for school principals and headmasters.
