As a prelude to the highly anticipated 10th State Conference, the Tripura Scheduled Castes Coordination Committee (Tripura Tapashili Jati Samannay Samiti) organized a voluntary blood donation camp today at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan in Agartala. This humanitarian initiative marks the commencement of a series of social activities planned by the Samiti leading up to their milestone convention.
The camp was inaugurated by the General Secretary of the Samiti and former MLA, Shri Sudhan Das, who was among the first to encourage the donors.
Service to Humanity: A Tribute to Ambedkar’s Legacy
Addressing the gathering, Sudhan Das emphasized that the Samiti believes in social service alongside its struggle for the rights of the Scheduled Caste community. He noted that there is no greater contribution to society than donating blood to save lives.

- Large Participation: A significant number of youth members and activists from the SC community participated in the drive, contributing to the state’s blood bank reserves.

“Blood Has No Caste” — Sudhan Das
In his briefing to the media, Shri Sudhan Das highlighted the symbolic nature of the event.
”On the occasion of our 10th State Conference, we wanted to start with a gesture that serves all of humanity. Blood has no caste or religion. By organizing this camp at Ambedkar Bhavan, we are reaffirming our commitment to the welfare of the entire society, following the path shown by Babasaheb Ambedkar,” the General Secretary stated.
Upcoming Conference Agenda
The General Secretary also took the opportunity to remind the public that the upcoming state conference would focus on the protection of reservation rights, land reforms, and the economic empowerment of the SC community in Tripura. He urged all members to remain united and participate actively in the developmental dialogue.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the donors, acknowledging their selfless contribution to the cause.
