In a prestigious ceremony held today at Lok Bhavan, the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, formally felicitated the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets who represented the state with distinction at the national level. The event was organized to honor the cadets who participated in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 and the Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) during the 2025–26 session.
The Governor presented certificates and mementos to the achievers, acknowledging their rigorous training and successful representation of Tripura on the national stage in New Delhi.
Recognizing National Excellence
The RDC and TSC are considered the most competitive and prestigious camps in the NCC calendar.
- Republic Day Camp (RDC): Cadets from Tripura were part of the North East Region (NER) Directorate, participating in the iconic parade at Kartavya Path and the Prime Minister’s Rally.
- Thal Sainik Camp (TSC): Cadets showcased their skills in specialized military subjects, including map reading, field craft, and firing, bringing laurels to the state.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu lauded the discipline, patriotism, and dedication of the young cadets.
”The NCC is a nursery for future leaders. Your success in national-level camps like RDC and TSC is not just a personal achievement but a moment of immense pride for all of Tripura. The discipline you learn here will guide you in every walk of life. You are playing a pivotal role in the task of nation-building,” the Governor stated.
Boosting Youth Morale
The primary objective of the felicitation at Lok Bhavan was to:
- Acknowledge Hard Work: Recognize the months of grueling selection trials and training the cadets underwent.
- Inspire Others: Encourage more students from schools and colleges across Tripura to join the NCC and serve the nation.
- Promote National Integration: Highlight the role of these camps in fostering a sense of unity among youth from diverse backgrounds.
Distinguished Presence
The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the NCC NER Directorate, officials from the Education Department, and proud parents of the cadets. The cadets, dressed in their ceremonial uniforms, expressed their gratitude to the Governor for the recognition, stating that such appreciation motivates them to pursue careers in the Armed Forces.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a high tea where the Governor interacted personally with the cadets to learn about their experiences in the national camps.
