AGARTALA: In a major reinforcement to the state’s internal security matrix, a grand ceremonial Passing Out Parade was held on Thursday at the Kumar Trishul Dhari (KTD) Singh Police Training Academy in Narsingarh, located on the outskirts of Agartala. The high-profile event marked the formal induction of the 91st and 92nd batches of recruit constables into the mainstream ranks of the Tripura Police following months of intensive training.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, who attended as the Chief Guest, reviewed the parade, and took the salute from the marching contingents. He was accompanied by the Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Dhankar, IPS, along with a host of senior civil and police administration officials, institutional instructors, and proud family members of the newly minted officers.
A Massive Boost for Representation
The passing out batch was highly celebrated for its demographic layout, reflecting the state government’s targeted emphasis on expanding inclusive development within law enforcement.
- Total Graduating Strength: 476 recruit constables successfully completed their rigorous courses to take their oath of duty.

- Counter-insurgency operations and jungle warfare survival techniques.
- Cybersecurity awareness and handling technical financial frauds.
- Disaster management protocols and rescue operations.
- Community policing, human rights frameworks, and modern laws related to crowd management and maintaining local public order.
“Building a Modern, Empathetic Force”: CM Dr. Manik Saha
Addressing the newly inducted constables during the graduation address, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha—who also holds the Home portfolio—reminded them that their core responsibility is to ensure the absolute rule of law while building trust among the common public.
”Today marks a proud milestone for Tripura. The induction of a historic number of women into our frontline police force is a testament to our commitment toward women’s empowerment. As you step out of this academy, remember that you are the face of governance to the common citizen.
Modern challenges require a modern mindset. While our government is aggressively updating infrastructure to make the force highly tech-savvy against cybercriminals, you must balance this capability with a humane, approachable, and compassionate attitude toward the public—especially when dealing with crimes against women and children,” Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated.
DGP Anurag Dhankar also congratulated the passing out batches, praising their dedication and advising them to maintain absolute integrity, courage, and discipline throughout their upcoming field deployments across the eight districts of the state.
