Agartala: A vital two-day state committee meeting of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) commenced at the Dasharath Deb Smriti Bhavan in Melarmath, Agartala. The brainstorming session brings together top national and state leadership to deliberate on current political developments, strengthen grassroots party organization, and outline a roadmap for upcoming local body elections in Tripura.

The heavy-weight meeting is being attended by prominent national and regional stalwarts of the Left Front, underscoring the political significance of the strategy meet. Key leaders present at the Dasharath Deb Smriti Bhavan include:

Briefing reporters on the agenda, CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chaudhury stated that while the state committee meet is part of the party’s routine organizational process, it holds deep importance given the evolving political landscape. The leadership will deeply analyze the party’s performance in recent elections, including the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) village committee outcomes.
The two-day session will also focus extensively on crafting mass mobilization programs against local civic issues, tackling unemployment, and reinforcing the party base ahead of the upcoming municipal and panchayat poll battles. Addressing the media, All-India General Secretary M.A. Baby noted that the party’s formal declarations and tactical decisions will be officially announced by the state leadership upon the conclusion of the two-day deliberations.
