AGARTALA | June 13, 2026: In a heartwarming gesture to recognize and encourage academic excellence, the Agartala Press Club organized a special felicitation ceremony today. The event was held to honour the children of working journalists and photojournalists based in Agartala who successfully cleared this year’s Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) board examinations.
The ceremony was graced by the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA, Dipak Majumder, who attended as the chief guest. Senior journalists, club management members, and proud families of the achievers were also present to witness the occasion.
Encouraging the Next Generation of Achievers
During the event, the meritorious students were presented with mementos, certificates of appreciation, and educational gifts as tokens of encouragement for their hard work and dedication.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Dipak Majumder lauded the unique initiative taken by the Agartala Press Club. He emphasized that journalists work under immense pressure to keep society informed, and supporting their families is a collective responsibility.
