The strategic session was chaired by AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder and attended by municipal corporators, ward councillors, department heads, and senior administrative officials.
Core Civic Priorities Discussed
- Sanitation & Waste Management: Special cleanliness drives will be rolled out across major pandal locations, congested market corridors, and public thoroughfares. AMC sanitation workers will operate round-the-clock during festival days to handle additional garbage accumulation.
- Street Lighting & Infrastructure Repairs: Immediate inspection and repair of streetlights along primary roads, pandal approach routes, and immersion ghats. Pothole repairs and minor road maintenance are being prioritized to prevent traffic disruption.
- Uninterrupted Drinking Water & Drainage: Strict directives were issued to ensure uninterrupted clean drinking water supply and proper clearance of drainage systems to prevent waterlogging during monsoon spells.
- Inter-Departmental Coordination: AMC officials, local councillors, and traffic authorities will work in close coordination to manage heavy footfalls and maintain public safety near major puja pandals.
