SRINAGAR | June 9, 2026: In a major development following the horrific incident of a schoolgirl being molested inside a classroom, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) staged a fierce protest demonstration and submitted a formal deputation at the Srinagar Police Station on Monday. The party is demanding the immediate arrest of the school official who handed over the classroom keys to the accused molester.
The political atmosphere in the subdivision has turned highly volatile following the incident, with local residents, parents, and youth organizations joining the Left front in demanding strict accountability from the institutional administration.
Outrage Over Administrative Collusion
According to reports, the student was subjected to severe harassment and abuse inside a closed classroom on the school premises. Local CPI(M) leadership has leveled serious allegations against the school management, claiming the incident points to a deeper conspiracy or gross negligence.
Addressing reporters outside the police station, local CPI(M) representatives expressed deep anger over the security lapse and the school’s failure to protect its students.
”How could the keys to a classroom be casually handed over to a predator? The individual within the school administration who gave the keys to the perpetrator is equally complicit in this heinous crime. They have acted as an enabler to the abuse, and we demand that the police immediately book and arrest them under the same stringent sections of the law,” a senior CPI(M) leader stated.
Left Leadership Warns of Mass Agitation If Action Delayed
A high-level delegation of CPI(M) leaders met with the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Srinagar Police Station to submit their memorandum. During the meeting, the leaders expressed deep concern over the safety of female students in state-run educational institutions.
