The sacred Tripura Sundari Temple in Tripura has witnessed a moment of awe-inspiring creativity as the eternal grace of Maa Tripureshwari, the presiding deity of the temple, has been brought to life on screen for the first time.
A team of local talents has come together to create a seven-minute pre-Diwali music video that beautifully reimagines the divine form of Maa Tripureshwari through the art of prosthetics. Actress Namita Debnath delivers a powerful and serene portrayal of the goddess, exuding both compassion and strength. The intricate prosthetic make-up used to mirror the idol of the temple adds a mesmerizing touch to her transformation.
Anirban Bhowmik, a renowned YouTuber from Gomati District, plays the role of a devout devotee whose unwavering faith forms the emotional core of the story. The video narrates the tale of a young man facing life’s challenges with unwavering devotion, culminating in a divine encounter with Maa Tripureshwari that leaves viewers moved to tears.
The concept for the video had been brewing in Anirban’s mind for nearly two years before it finally materialized with the support of his brother, singer and composer Kishan Das. The team took great care to ensure the sanctity of Maa Tripureshwari’s image by performing sacred rituals at the temple before filming began.
The production features a cameo appearance by Matabari MLA Abhisek Debroy, further connecting the film to its cultural and spiritual roots. Behind the scenes, the project was brought to life by a talented team including Adarsh Ray for cinematography, editing, and VFX, as well as Glamour World for prosthetic and make-up work under the expertise of Mitadru Sengupta.
The soulful music composed and sung by Kishan Das, with lyrics by Saikat Sarkar, adds an emotional depth to the video that resonates with audiences. Released just before Diwali, the video has quickly garnered thousands of views online, with viewers describing it as a divine and soul-healing experience.
As Tripura gears up for Diwali celebrations, this music video serves as a poignant reminder that the intersection of faith and art can bring divinity to life not only on screen but also in the hearts of those who watch. It stands as a tribute to Tripureshwari Maa and a testament to the power of creativity and devotion.
