AGARTALA | AUGUST 31, 2026: Protesting against the rejection of Opposition proposals regarding youth employment and alleging disrespect toward national symbols inside the Tripura Legislative Assembly, youth organizations Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Tripura Youth Federation (TYF) held a joint demonstration near Agartala City Centre on Monday.
Youth activists gathered opposite the City Centre, raising slogans against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) administration and demanding immediate filling of all vacant government posts across state departments.

- Rejection of Motion on Vacant Posts: Protesters strongly condemned the Assembly’s rejection of a private member’s motion submitted by Left Front legislators advocating for the immediate filling of all government job vacancies.
