AGARTALA: In a major push toward fostering innovation and self-reliance, the Government of Tripura launched the T-RISE Portal (Tripura Registry & Integration for Startup Ecosystem) during a high-level state workshop titled “Building a Unicorn in Tripura” at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala.
Organized by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, in collaboration with Hyderabad’s premier startup engine T-Hub, the initiative aims to empower young local entrepreneurs with global exposure, venture capital funding, and modern technical incubation. Key Highlights of the T-RISE Launch & Workshop
- Unveiling T-RISE Portal: The newly launched digital portal seamlessly integrates startups, incubators, domain mentors, corporate partners, and venture capitalists onto a single unified platform. It brings together over 20 global mentors and 10 active investment networks.
- ₹2.72 Crore Direct Funding Released: Under the new Sector-Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy, the state has received 185+ applications, approved 140 registrations, and recognized 70 promising startups—distributing ₹2.72 crore in direct financial incentives to date.
- T-NEST Incubation Center: Infrastructure support has been scaled up through T-NEST, a state-of-the-art incubation facility established at the International Business Centre in Hapania, Agartala.
- Strategic MoUs with Industry Giants: Tripura’s IT department inked strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with HDFC Bank, Amazon Seller Services, and Zoho Corporation to provide local startups with cloud credits, e-commerce export support, mentorship, and digital banking facilities.
- Expert Masterclasses: Industry experts from T-Hub and leaders from aerospace startup Skyroot Aerospace delivered specialized sessions on scaling operations, fundraising, market penetration, and building high-value business models.
