AGARTALA: Kickstarting the grand countdown to Durga Puja 2026, the Tushar Sangha Club in Chandrapur, Agartala, conducted its ceremonial Khuti Puja on Monday following traditional rituals.
This year, the club is erecting a magnificent pandal modeled after the world-famous Dakshineswar Kali Temple of West Bengal, operating with a grand budget of ₹22 Lakh.

Speaking to the media, Convener Biswajit Roy and Club Secretary Krishna Saha shared that the club aims to deliver an immersive spiritual experience for thousands of devotees expected during the festival days. Artisans from West Bengal and local decorators have been engaged to replicate the classic architectural heritage, spires, and sanctum of Dakshineswar Kali Temple.
