The modern-day Maharaja of Tripura, Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, celebrated his birthday at Kamal Chowmuhani in front of the Zero Point. The Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with the Mayor, and MLA Deepak Majumdar, among others, paid homage to Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur by garlanding his statue.
