AGARTALA: In a structured push to promote value-based leadership, community service, and skill development among the youth, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Initiative (Shikshan Abhiyan) was successfully organized today. The regional training assembly, marking a key phase of the ongoing state-wide deployment, was held at the auditorium of the historic Kamini Kumar Higher Secondary School under the 9-Banamalipur assembly constituency.
The orientation camp brought together educators, social thinkers, youth organizers, and local representatives to deliberate on social inclusion frameworks and the grassroots development models envisioned by the legendary philosopher.
Instilling the Philosophy of Integral Humanism
The core objective of the training camp was to orient local organizers and the youth toward the principle of ‘Antyodaya’—the philosophy of ensuring that the benefits of developmental policies reach the absolute last person in the social hierarchy.
Key Structural Focus Areas of the Training Session:
- Grassroots Governance: Workshops on how local youth can bridge the gap between government welfare schemes and marginalized beneficiaries in urban and semi-urban pockets.
- Skill Orientation & Self-Reliance: Specialized modules highlighting technical self-reliance, vocational training setups, and local micro-entrepreneurship models to combat regional unemployment.
- Social Harmony and Civic Duty: Interactive seminars focused on community-led cleanliness drives, blood donation logistics, and establishing public support desks within the Banamalipur locality.
“Empowering the Last Person in Queue Is Our Goal”
Addressing the trainees and delegates at the school auditorium, senior training mentors and guest speakers emphasized that academic learning must be coupled with institutional social responsibility.
”The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shikshan Abhiyan is not just a standard training seminar; it is a movement to build dedicated human capital for the nation. By hosting this session at Kamini Kumar Higher Secondary School, our focus is to tap into the energy of our local neighborhood networks.
True progress cannot be measured merely by macroeconomic figures; it is measured by how well we uplift the weakest family in our locality. Through this campaign, we are training our local volunteers to actively map out the needs of the underprivileged, facilitate standard healthcare and education access, and build a highly self-reliant community right here in Banamalipur,” a senior organizational coordinator stated during the inaugural session.
Broad Community Engagement
The technical training sessions were divided into interactive modules where participants drafted localized community development blueprints. Faculty members of the host institution praised the initiative, noting that exposing students and local volunteers to structured civic training enhances institutional leadership and fosters an empathetic social mindset.
The day-long training module concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to the local delegates, along with a collective pledge to launch immediate neighborhood support initiatives before the onset of the monsoon season.
