AGARTALA | AUGUST 30, 2026: In a major boost toward women’s empowerment, skill development, and employment generation, a state-level ceremonial event was organized at the Muktadhara Auditorium in Agartala for the distribution of official job offer letters and sewing machines to beneficiaries.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha as the Chief Guest, alongside Minister for Industries & Commerce and Welfare of OBCs Santana Chakma, departmental officials, and community leaders.
Key Highlights & Distribution Drive
- Job Offer Letter Handover: Official appointment and offer letters were handed over to qualified youth and candidates, marking another milestone in the state government’s ongoing recruitment and employment initiatives.
- Distribution of Sewing Machines: To promote self-employment, home-based entrepreneurship, and financial independence among women, sewing machines were distributed to beneficiaries trained under state skill development programs.
- Focus on Livelihood Generation: The initiative aims to support rural and urban women in establishing small-scale tailoring units, fostering economic self-sufficiency across local communities.
