AGARTALA | AUGUST 26, 2026: In a significant political and administrative development, Tipra Motha Party (TMP) founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma held a formal courtesy-cum-official meeting with Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu at the Raj Bhavan (Lok Bhavan) in Agartala.
Accompanied by TTAADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia (and council delegates), Pradyot Manikya submitted a written representation seeking the Governor’s immediate intervention regarding the prolonged pendency of around 18 key bills passed by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) that are awaiting gubernatorial assent.

“Met the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura and requested him to examine the several bills sent by the TTAADC over the years that have remained in the dark. Many crucial bills concerning land rights, administrative reforms, customary laws, and recruitment policies have been passed by the Council. As an elected body, we owe answers to the people. I requested the Governor to look into these long-pending files so that the constitutional intent of the Sixth Schedule is realized.”
