Tripura Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD) and SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das made a plea to Durga Puja organizers on Thursday, September 4 to refrain from forcefully collecting subscriptions from the public. Minister Das took to Facebook to deliver his message, emphasizing the importance of worshipping Goddess Durga in a respectful and peaceful manner.
In his message, Minister Das stated, “It is possible to build grand Durga Puja pandals by collecting subscriptions forcefully or by blocking traffic on the roads, but this is not the way to please Goddess Durga. Durga Puja is a sacred festival of Hinduism, and it should be observed with devotion and adherence to rituals.” He further added that organizers should ensure that their happiness does not come at the expense of others’ discomfort.
Minister Das urged all puja committees to avoid any activities that disrupt public peace or order, encouraging them to celebrate the upcoming Durga festival in a harmonious and auspicious manner for all. He stressed the importance of following traditions and rituals while celebrating the festival, and to ensure that the festivities do not cause inconvenience or distress to the public.
The Minister’s call for a peaceful and respectful celebration of Durga Puja is aimed at promoting unity and harmony among the community during the festive season. He hopes that his message will resonate with organizers and participants alike, leading to a joyous and meaningful observance of the festival.
