Interrogation Underway to Establish Motive
According to senior police officials, Ramzan Ali’s body was discovered floating in the river current on June 28. Following the registration of a case concerning suspicious death and subsequent field intelligence gathering, the police tracked down and picked up two suspects from the capital town area late Monday night.
The police administration has placed both individuals under rigorous technical and physical interrogation to reconstruct the final timeline leading up to the fateful night.
”Following the recovery of youth Ramzan Ali’s body from the Howrah River on June 28, our tracking teams have officially detained two youths for deep questioning. A comprehensive investigation is actively moving forward under the West Agartala police circle. No one involved will be spared, and further legal updates will be shared as the interrogation progresses,” West Agartala Police Station OC Rana Chatterjee stated to press reporters.
Strict Monitoring and Forensic Evaluation
The police department has initiated a structured, multi-pronged approach to wrap up the criminal assessment:
- Forensic Analysis: The investigative team is awaiting the final post-mortem report to conclusively determine whether the cause of death was drowning or if there were signs of physical trauma prior to entering the water.
- Call Detail Records (CDR): The mobile networks of both the suspects and the victim are being actively mapped by the cyber cell to analyze location metrics and recent call logs.
- Area Patrolling Scaled Up: Following demands for increased civil security, night patrolling around the Howrah River banks and major bridges connecting the urban limits has been strictly reinforced.
