AGARTALA: In a major boost to the state’s security apparatus, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha presided over the grand ceremonial passing out parade of the 92nd batch of Police Constables (Male) at the A. Chandra Rama Rao TSR Training Center in RK Nagar today.
The spectacular parade marked the successful completion of a rigorous 12-month training program for a total of 470 newly inducted personnel, comprising 469 Tripura Police constables and 1 Tripura State Rifles (TSR) rifleman.
The Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio, reviewed the parade as the chief guest. The event was also graced by Tripura Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Home Secretary Abhishek Singh, and other senior civil and police administration officials.
Addressing the newly inducted personnel, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized that the police uniform symbolizes courage, discipline, honesty, and public trust. He reiterated the state government’s absolute commitment to building a modern, technology-driven, and people-centric police force capable of tackling evolving challenges like cybercrime and drug trafficking.
”Dedication and integrity towards duty are the absolute keys to earning both respect and recognition in society,” Dr. Saha said, urging the fresh recruits to maintain a humane and professional approach while serving citizens in distress.
DGP Anurag also congratulated the new batch on successfully completing their intense physical and tactical training, welcoming them to the glorious legacy of the Tripura Police. The ceremony concluded with the Chief Minister felicitating the outstanding recruits who excelled in various disciplines during their training stint.
