Assam Rifles, a paramilitary force under the Indian Army, organized a weapon display event to inspire National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets in Agartala, Tripura. The event took place at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel as part of the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp of the 13th Tripura Battalion NCC.
The purpose of the weapon display was to familiarize the cadets with various infantry weapons and tactical equipment used by Assam Rifles, as well as to ignite their interest in pursuing a career in the defense services. The cadets were given detailed briefings on the functionality and importance of each weapon system and had the opportunity to witness live demonstrations, providing them with a firsthand experience of the armed forces’ operational capabilities.
A total of 150 NCC cadets participated in the event, demonstrating great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. Their active engagement highlighted a keen interest in national service and a growing awareness of the country’s defense readiness.
This initiative is part of Assam Rifles’ efforts to promote youth development, national integration, and patriotic values. By organizing such outreach programs, the organization aims to bridge the gap between the military and civilian populations, particularly the younger generation who are considered the future defenders of the nation.
Officials from Assam Rifles and NCC expressed optimism that events like the weapon display would motivate many young individuals to join the defense forces and serve the country with pride and dedication. The event served as a platform for the cadets to gain valuable insights into the armed forces and consider a career path that involves safeguarding the nation’s security.
