AGARTALA: In a final step toward establishing the new administrative council, a high-level delegation of 24 Members of the District Council (MDCs) called on Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu at the Raj Bhavan today. The delegation, which included two prominent MDCs from the Tipra Motha Party, formally invited the Governor to grace the upcoming oath-taking ceremony of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
The ceremony, scheduled for tomorrow, marks the beginning of a new term for the council following the decisive mandate in the recent district council elections.
A Formal Invitation to the Custodian
The meeting at Raj Bhavan was characterized as a courtesy call with the primary objective of extending a formal invitation to the Governor, who serves as the constitutional custodian of the Sixth Schedule areas in Tripura.
