The Tripura Tourism Department is gearing up for the second edition of the ‘Unity Promo Fest-2025’ in Belonia, South Tripura, as part of its ongoing efforts to boost tourism and develop infrastructure in the state.
Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury recently chaired a review meeting to discuss the preparations for the upcoming festival. He expressed satisfaction with the positive response from visitors following last year’s Tourism Promo Fest and stated that this has motivated the government to expand the event to new locations this year.
“This year, the Tourism Department is bringing back the Unity Promo Fest, but this time it will be hosted in Belonia, a picturesque region in South Tripura,” Minister Chowdhury announced. The two-day festival will also include activities and promotional events at various other tourist attractions in the state.
A preparatory meeting was held at the Belonia Dak Bungalow, with Minister Chowdhury leading the discussions. Also in attendance were Zilla Parishad Chairman, MLAs Pramod Reang and Swapna Majumdar, as well as senior officials from the Tourism Department, district administration, and police.
Minister Chowdhury reiterated the government’s commitment to transforming Tripura into a premier tourism destination by investing in better amenities, enhanced connectivity, and organizing promotional events that showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
The Unity Promo Fest-2025 is expected to attract a large number of tourists and visitors, providing a platform to showcase the diverse attractions and offerings of Tripura. This initiative is part of the state government’s broader strategy to boost tourism and stimulate economic growth in the region.
