The Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) on Tuesday accorded a warm reception to the state’s Under-15 Women’s Cricket Team after their title-winning performance in the BCCI-organised National Under-15 Women’s Plate Group Tournament.Within just 20 days, another national-level cricket trophy has reached Tripura, highlighting the growing success of the state’s young cricketers. By winning the Plate Group championship, the Tripura U-15 women’s team has also secured promotion to the Elite Group for the next season.The felicitation ceremony was held at the club house of MBB Stadium following the team’s arrival in Agartala. TCA Vice-President Upananda Debbarma, Treasurer Basudev Chakraborty, along with governing body members and life members, congratulated the players for their achievement.Speaking on the occasion, Upananda Debbarma thanked everyone associated with the team for their collective effort. Head Coach Tapan Kumar De, Assistant Coach Mampi Debnath, Manager Dhananjay Tripura, Team Captain Anushka Shil, and the players expressed their happiness, calling the victory a proud moment for Tripura women’s cricket.
