AGARTALA | June 19, 2026: In a significant move to boost employment awareness and outline central welfare benefits, a special seminar on the ‘Pradhan Mantri Vikshit Bharat Rozgar Yojana’ (PMVBRY) was organized at the Agartala Town Hall today. The high-profile event was spearheaded by the Agartala Regional Office of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), functioning under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India.
The convention serves as a strategic platform to unpack the operational blueprints of the PMVBRY scheme, emphasizing its role in accelerating formal job creation and detailing the systemic incentives available for both corporate employers and the local workforce.
Top Dignitaries to Grace the Convention
The departmental seminar features a distinguished panel of state leadership. the Honorable Minister for Tribal Welfare, Statistics, Handloom, Handicrafts, and Cultural Affairs, Government of Tripura, Shri Bikash Debbarma, will attend the session as the Chief Guest.
Joining him as the Guest of Honour is the Honorable Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Tripura, Shri Rajeev Bhattacharjee.
Top-ranking regional EPFO commissioners, institutional heads, corporate recruitment HR delegations, and prominent civil society representatives are also participating in the technical sessions.

- Employment Subsidies: Detailing how the Central Government reimburses the employer’s or employee’s contribution towards EPFO for new recruits to incentivize mass hiring.
- Formalizing the Workforce: Boosting registration of informal workers into the formal economic net to ensure mandatory healthcare and provident fund coverage.
- Employer Handholding: Assisting local small-scale enterprises (MSMEs) and tea estate management groups in Tripura with seamless online portal registrations and compliance management.
