In a vibrant ceremony today, the Cosmopolitan Club, one of Agartala’s premier sporting institutions, officially distributed jerseys to its A-Division cricket team players for the 2025-26 season. The event, held at the club’s premises, marks the final phase of preparation before the team takes the field for the upcoming Santosh Memorial A-Division Tournament, organized by the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA).
Ready for the Challenge
The jersey distribution is a tradition that fosters team spirit and professional pride among the players. This year, the club has assembled a balanced squad featuring several seasoned local talents and promising youngsters.
- Tournament: Santosh Memorial A-Division Tournament 2025-26.
- First Match: Cosmopolitan Club is scheduled to face OPC on March 7, 2026, at the MBB Stadium.
- Squad Strength: The team has been undergoing rigorous training sessions at the TIT Ground and MBB Stadium to improve their fitness and tactical play.
Management’s Vision
During the distribution, club officials encouraged the players to maintain the legacy of the Cosmopolitan Club, which was the champion of the A-Division Super Four in the previous season.
”Our players have worked hard in the nets, and today, as they receive their colors, we expect them to show the same discipline on the field. The A-Division is highly competitive this year with teams like Polestar, Chalaman, and United Friends in the fray,” said a senior member of the club management.
