High-Stakes Battle Witnessed At The Bar Precincts
A festive, celebratory mood took over the entire bar complex as candidates from competing panels welcomed voters at the entry gates. The biennial election is witnessing a highly competitive, direct contest between two prominent legal fronts: the Ainjibi Unnayan Mancha and the Save the Constitution Forum.
”The Bar Association election is a crucial democratic event that shapes the administrative and legal welfare of the state’s judicial workforce. The enthusiasm among young and veteran advocates today is unprecedented. The polling process has been completely peaceful, and we are confident that the newly elected body will work seamlessly to resolve infrastructure challenges faced by the legal fraternity,” a senior member of the practicing bar noted.
The security grid inside and around the Agartala court complex has been heavily reinforced by local police units to prevent any untoward incidents during the secret ballot casting. The counting of votes and the subsequent declaration of official results are expected to be fast-tracked by the designated returning officers immediately after the scheduled polling hours draw to a close.
