AGARTALA | August 1, 2026: Commemorating over two decades of excellence in medical education and healthcare delivery, the Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) today celebrated its historic 22nd Foundation Day with great enthusiasm at the GBP Hospital and AGMC auditorium complex. The flagship celebration was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tripura, Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, alongside senior health administrators, department heads, faculty members, and medical students.
As part of the foundation day proceedings, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha formally felicitated meritorious undergraduate and postgraduate medical students who achieved top academic ranks across various clinical and non-clinical departments.
Honoring Academic Excellence and Medical Dedicated Staff
The event served as a platform to recognize the academic dedication of young doctors and students across multiple specialties, including General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Basic Medical Sciences. The Chief Minister presented medals, merit certificates, and trophies to department toppers, encouraging them to maintain the highest standards of medical ethics and patient care.
