AGARTALA: Joining the ongoing digital drive across the state, Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ratan Lal Nath, actively participated in the online Self-Enumeration process for the upcoming Census 2027. The senior Cabinet Minister registered his household details through the official online portal, highlighting the importance of the digital census in shaping state and national policy frameworks.
The self-enumeration phase for Census 2027—India’s first fully digital population census—officially commenced across Tripura on July 17 and will remain open until July 31. During this window, residents can conveniently submit their family and housing particulars via OTP-based mobile verification on the dedicated census portal.
Speaking after completing his registration, Minister Ratan Lal Nath urged citizens across all districts to proactively participate in the self-enumeration facility. He emphasized that census data is not merely a collection of statistics but forms the core foundation for allocating administrative funds, planning infrastructure, and designing welfare schemes for farmers, rural communities, and urban households alike.
Following the conclusion of the self-enumeration window on July 31, trained enumerators will conduct physical door-to-door verification and House Listing Operations (HLO) from August 1 to August 30 across Tripura. Citizens who complete the online process simply need to present their generated Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID) to the visiting enumerator to complete the verification seamlessly.
