AGARTALA: Denouncing the recent agitational demonstration and alleged chaotic disruptions outside the official residence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Tripura State Committee staged a massive protest rally through the streets of Agartala today. Youth leaders and karyakartas demanded the immediate arrest and exemplary legal action against Congress workers involved in creating anarchy outside the Chief Minister’s residence.
Carrying party flags and raising energetic slogans against the Pradesh Congress leadership, hundreds of youth workers marched through key thoroughfares of the capital city.
BJYM Demands Strict Legal Action
Addressing media personnel during the protest march, BJYM state leaders accused the Congress party of resorting to unconstitutional methods, political provocation, and breach of administrative decorum to grab political attention.

- Immediate Arrests: Demanded that Tripura Police identify, arrest, and press strict charges against all Congress activists who attempted to break security barriers and create disruption near the CM’s official residence.
- Condemnation of Political Anarchy: The youth wing asserted that resorting to vandalism and aggressive demonstrations in high-security zones reflects the desperation of the Congress leadership.
- Protection of Democratic Environment: BJYM leaders emphasized that while peaceful protest is a constitutional right, orchestrating intentional chaos near the head of state’s residence will not be tolerated.
Rally Traverses Key Capital Routes
The high-octane rally originated from near the BJP state headquarters and traversed major city intersections, including Post Office Chowmuhani, Paradise Chowmuhani, and the Circuit House area. Security forces maintained a strong presence along the route to ensure law and order.
The BJYM leadership concluded the rally by warning that if strict legal steps are not taken against the instigators, the youth wing will intensify its democratic counter-agitations across every subdivision in Tripura to safeguard law and peace.
