SURYAMANINAGAR | July 10, 2026: Expanding the horizon of advanced multi-specialty clinical care and bringing world-class emergency medical services closer to the suburban belts of the state capital, the Chief Minister of Tripura, Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, today formally inaugurated the newly constructed TIME Hospital campus. The modern private healthcare facility is strategically located at Bagmara, Kuripukur, situated in close proximity to the central campus of Tripura University in the West Tripura district.
The grand inaugural ceremony was attended by senior health department officials, prominent medical practitioners, members of the university faculty, and a large assembly of local public representatives.
Redefining Sub-Urban Healthcare Accessibility
The establishment of TIME Hospital near the university town marks a critical infrastructural upgrade for the southern pockets of West Tripura, offering immediate tertiary care access to a massive demographic comprising students, researchers, and surrounding rural communities who previously had to travel deep into Agartala city for advanced medical diagnostics.
Following the formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and the lighting of the traditional lamp, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who is himself a renowned medical academician, conducted an extensive walkthrough of the facility’s intensive care units (ICUs), modular operation theatres, advanced neonatal wards, and diagnostic radiology departments.
”Our state government is continuously working to upgrade public healthcare infrastructure across all eight districts, but the true transformation of a state’s medical index is achieved when the private sector steps forward with equal vigor and social responsibility. The inauguration of TIME Hospital here in Bagmara today is a highly welcome addition to Tripura’s medical map. Its proximity to Tripura University is a massive logistical advantage, ensuring that thousands of students, faculty members, and neighboring rural families now have access to a single-window, critical-care facility right at their doorstep. My administration is firmly committed to supporting such healthcare ventures that aim to minimize out-of-pocket medical expenditures and reduce the necessity for our citizens to travel outside the state for complex clinical procedures,” Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated during his inaugural address.
Blending Academic Hubs with Vital Super-Specialty Services
The management of TIME Hospital briefed the Chief Minister on their plan to introduce 24/7 trauma care, automated dialysis units, and specialized cardiology clinics in the initial operational phase. They also outlined proposed corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to provide subsidized outpatient consultations and free diagnostic screenings for low-income families residing within the Suryamaninagar block.
The event concluded with the Chief Minister interacting with the newly appointed clinical staff and nursing teams, encouraging them to maintain a patient-first, empathetic approach to healthcare delivery.
