Pratima Bhowmik, successfully facilitated the emergency admission and treatment of a pregnant woman, resulting in the safe delivery of a healthy baby boy at the Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital in Agartala.
Following the successful procedure, the senior leader visited the medical facility to congratulate the newborn’s family and extended her warmest appreciation to the attending medical team for their prompt action.
Timely Intervention Saves Two Lives
According to available reports, the family of the pregnant housewife had been facing severe difficulties in securing immediate, specialized obstetric care due to sudden medical complications. Upon learning about the family’s distress and the high-risk nature of the pregnancy, the former MP personally stepped in to coordinate with the high-level administration of GBP Hospital.
Her timely intervention ensured that the patient was instantly admitted into the emergency labor ward without any procedural delays. Under the close monitoring of specialized gynecologists and nursing staff, the woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
