Malati Debbarma, a resident of Dhanai Para under the Mandai Block, lives with her family in a small, dilapidated mud hovel. Despite falling under the poorest-of-the-poor category with an Antyodaya ration card, her family has not received a single house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme.
Repeated Geo-Tagging, Zero Results
Speaking to media persons while showing her hazardous living conditions, Malati Debbarma shared her frustration over persistent administrative apathy.

- Multiple Paperwork Submissions: The family has submitted all required identity proofs, land documents, and AAY card details multiple times at the Mandai Block office.
- Completed Geo-Tagging: Administrative surveyors have conducted geo-tagging procedures at her residence on several occasions, yet her name remains excluded from the final allocation lists.
- Unsafe Living Conditions: During the heavy monsoon season, the crumbling mud structure faces severe erosion, posing a constant threat to the lives of her family members.
Interacting with news reporters, Malati Debbarma made an emotional plea directly to the concerned rural development department, local block administration, and the state government, urging them to immediately sanction a PMAY housing unit to secure a safe roof over her family’s head.
