RANIRBAZAR | June 17, 2026: To celebrate the completion of 12 highly successful years of development, global trust, and public welfare under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a mega Jan Kalyan Shivir (Public Welfare Camp) was successfully organized today.
The extensive outreach program, spearheaded by the Ranirbazar Municipal Council, was held at the Gitabitan Hall inside the council premises. The event was formally inaugurated by the State Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury.
Direct Delivery of Government Benefits to the Grassroots
The welfare camp served as a single-window platform for local citizens to access various state and central government beneficiary schemes, check saturation levels of urban amenities, and address administrative grievances on the spot.
Sharing the dais with the Minister were several top-tier political dignitaries, including the newly appointed BJP Tripura Pradesh President, Abhishek Debroy; BJP State General Secretary, Bipin Debbarma; and Ranirbazar Municipal Council Chairperson, along with other local urban body representatives.
Addressing a packed auditorium at Gitabitan Hall, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury drew a comparative analysis of the transformation witnessed by the country and the state over the last decade.
”The last 12 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi have redefined the paradigm of governance in India, shifting the focus entirely to trust, development, and poor-centric welfare. From clean drinking water connections to free healthcare and housing, every household has felt the touch of development. Our state government is working tirelessly to ensure that not a single eligible beneficiary in Ranirbazar or anywhere in Tripura is left behind,” Minister Sushanta Chowdhury asserted.
Party Leadership Focuses on Saturation of Schemes
Speaking at the event, BJP Pradesh President Abhishek Debroy and General Secretary Bipin Debbarma urged party karyartas and municipal councilors to work in close coordination with the local administration. They emphasized the need to run continuous door-to-door verification drives to achieve 100% saturation of welfare benefits in the urban public sectors.
During the day-long camp, various line departments set up dedicated stalls to distribute direct benefits, including:
- Social Security Pensions: On-the-spot approval and regularization of old-age and widow pensions for several local applicants.
- Healthcare and Sanitation: Distribution of Ayushman Bharat health cards and awareness toolkits for clean urban living.
- Livelihood Support: Handing over financial assistance and equipment kits to local self-help groups (SHGs) and street vendors under municipal schemes.
The Ranirbazar Municipal Council concluded the mega camp by thanking the visiting citizens and promising to host similar localized administrative camps across all municipal wards in the coming months.
