Three elephant tusks were seized by Tripura police in a raid conducted at a house in Sonapur village, Unakoti district, on August 2. The owner of the house, Ayub Ali, managed to escape before the police arrived, and no arrests have been made so far. According to Kailashahar Sub-divisional Police Officer Jayanta Karmakar, the raid was conducted based on a tip-off received by the police.
