AGARTALA: Launching a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central Government, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Ashish Kumar Saha today claimed that the ruling dispensation has done nothing but institutionalize corruption and public harassment over the last 12 years.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Bhavan in Agartala, the TPCC chief unleashed a barrage of allegations against the administration, terming its tenure as a period of absolute public exploitation and systematic looting of taxpayers’ money.
Ashish Kumar Saha criticized the government for constantly prioritizing corporate interests over the welfare of the common people. He alleged that the policies of the central government are specifically designed to benefit top corporate houses like Ambani and Adani, while ordinary citizens are being subjected to heavy financial burdens and harassment.
”From education and healthcare to basic civic sectors, corruption has penetrated everywhere. The system has degenerated into a massive network of commission-based trading where public funds are being looted openly,” Saha said during the media briefing.
Sharply criticizing the government’s rhetoric, the senior Congress leader alleged that the ruling party is sustaining itself on false promises and deceptive speeches. He reiterated that instead of addressing burning issues like unemployment, inflation, and declining public infrastructure, the government has focused solely on extracting money from citizens to benefit a select group of corporate giants.
