AGARTALA: Marking the auspicious occasion of ‘Seva Saptah’ (Service Week), a massive voluntary blood donation and tree plantation program was successfully organized in the capital city today. The joint welfare initiative was spearheaded by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Tripura Pranta and the West Tripura District unit of the Bajrang Dal.
The social service camp was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder.
Speaking at the event, Mayor Dipak Majumder highly lauded the youth members of the Bajrang Dal and VHP for their dedicated humanitarian efforts. He emphasized that donating blood is the ultimate social responsibility that transcends all societal barriers to save precious human lives. The Mayor also highlighted that the concurrent mega plantation drive aligns perfectly with the state government’s ongoing mission to build a green, clean, and sustainable Agartala.
”Voluntary blood donation is the noblest act of humanity. I congratulate the West Tripura Bajrang Dal for stepping forward to fulfill this critical healthcare requirement in our state’s blood banks while simultaneously planting saplings to protect our environment,” stated Mayor Dipak Majumder.
A large number of enthusiastic youth and workers from the West Tripura Bajrang Dal unit voluntarily donated blood during the camp. Following the donation drive, the dignitaries and organization leaders participated in planting ornamental and medicinal tree saplings around the venue premises. Prominent socio-cultural leaders, senior VHP members, and state-level coordinates of the Bajrang Dal were also present to ensure the smooth execution of the multi-sectoral community service project.
