AGARTALA: In a major development aimed at revolutionizing the grassroots medical infrastructure of the state, Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha held a high-profile press conference at the newly upgraded Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Civil Hospital. The media briefing was organized to highlight the state government’s extensive efforts to elevate healthcare delivery for common citizens.
Addressing the media personnel, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha proudly announced that a whopping budget of ₹24 crore has been heavily invested in the infrastructure, modern diagnostic installations, and structural expansion of this vital civil hospital.
Responding directly to concerns regarding medical personnel, the Chief Minister firmly assured the public that the state will face absolutely no shortage of qualified doctors or nursing staff. He emphasized that the government has structured a robust recruitment and posting framework to ensure all advanced medical departments are seamlessly operational round-the-clock.
”Our main target is to provide world-class, accessible medical services right at the doorstep of our citizens. With an investment of ₹24 crore in this civil hospital, we have upgraded the overall treatment facilities. I assure the people of Tripura that there will be a sufficient influx of specialized doctors to manage the medical load,” Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated during the press meet.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the ongoing operations of several specialized wards, interacting with administrative medical officers to guarantee seamless execution of state-sponsored health insurance schemes. Senior health department officials, hospital superintendents, and civic authorities attended the briefing, marking a massive milestone in Tripura’s public healthcare sector.
